Quote by Mark Twain (a.k.a. Samuel Langhorne Clemens) 1835-1910, legendary American writer of such books as The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and Puddn'head Wilson

The cat referenced here is Jackie, the cat my wife owned when she was growing up. Though Jackie sadly passed away shortly after I met my wife, I got to see her briefly, and started to understand why people love cats so much. I could see that Jackie had a subdued grace and kindness to her, disproving the awful notion that cats don't care about anyone but themselves. May she rest in peace.
